Jeff Ganz of the Johnny Winter Group: | I met Jeff while running my shop on Long Island in the mid 90’s and had the chance to work on several different bass rigs that he had. I modified a few and repaired a bunch too. He used to come down to hang out and jam on them for after I was done with them. We became good friends while I was in N.Y. but lost touch after I moved. He’s played with Johnny Winter as well as The Village People, Marvin Hamlisch, Lou Reed and others. Amazing player, he blew me away the first time I saw him play 8-string. Yup…….8-string bass. |
